    AL319 doesn't need to be registered. If you want to update it, you only need install MaxiLinkII and download the udpating pack. http://www.autel.com/autelcms/u/cms/www/201312/2404061882ge.rar

     What is a .RAR file? My computer does not recognize it.

    Basically, a .RAR file is a large file that has been compressed to save space. Use Google to search for an extractor program like WinZip that you can download and use it to "extract" the .RAR file.

    This will put everything out there that you need to update your scanner using MaxiLink.
